What to expect

9:30am pickup from nearby to Amersham Railway Station for a quick ride to the first stop.

Stop 1 – nature walk to Whiteleaf Hill (10am)

An easy 40 mins walk through one of the Chiltern’s most beautiful areas, with @alex_uk_bushcraft to point out the weird and wonderful.

‘A gentle walk and talk to sort out your beech from your birch, and your elder from your alder! You’ll learn tips to identify some of the main trees and plants endemic to the Chilterns, and some of the historical and modern uses they have been put to.’

Stop 2 – Introduction to meat (11.15)

Block and Butcher will put on an introductory class to their seasonal cuts where you will speak all things meat.

This is for anyone wondering about the different cuts and what to buy according to the season, as well as picking up some basic traditional and contemporary butchery skills.

Stop 3 – lunch (12.30)

A delicious 2-course lunch at Oxmoor Farm.

‘We know our producers by name, forging relationships rooted in trust and mutual respect. It’s this bond that infuses every dish with a sense of purpose and pride. We are on a mission to make the planet a better place through food by shining a light on the way it is produced, supplied and consumed.’

Stop 4 – Cheese & wine pairing (14.30)

A specially curated pairing of 4 English cheeses with wines from boutique vineyards.

No.2 Pound Street is your quintessentially British-focused cheesemonger and wine shop focused on small, niche producers. A true local Chiltern artisan.

Return to close to Amersham railway for 16:00.
