Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information Chiltern Safaris (Chiltern Safaris Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 16494072) collects when you use this website or book one of our tours, and what we do with it. Questions and requests: ChilternSafari@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

Bookings and tickets. When you buy a ticket or gift card, the checkout on our pages is provided by Ticket Tailor, who process your name, contact details and payment on our behalf (we never see your full card details). We use your booking details to run your tour: we share your name, meal choice and any dietary or accessibility needs with the caterer and the venues we visit, and your name and pickup point with the transport operator. We keep booking records for 6 years for tax and accounting purposes.

Enquiry, lunch selection and feedback forms. Forms on this site collect the details you type into them (name, email, phone, group size, meal choices, feedback) so we can answer your enquiry and organise your tour. Form entries may also be stored in our spreadsheet systems to manage bookings.

Newsletter. If you sign up to our mailing list we use your email address to send you news about upcoming tours. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we remove you promptly if you use it.

Phone numbers. We ask for a mobile number with bookings so we can reach you about pickup arrangements or last-minute changes on the day.

Who we share it with

Only the partners needed to run your tour (venues, caterer, transport operator), our service providers (Ticket Tailor for ticketing; our email and website hosting providers; WordPress.com, which hosts this site), and platforms you booked through (such as GetYourGuide or Viator, under their own privacy policies). We do not sell your information to anyone.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, and object to or restrict our use of it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
